It's so cute and funny how the babies literally shake with excitement when mom and dad show up with food. You just see these little heads and open mouths shaking so hard because they know it's mom and dad with snacks for them!
With Cardinals, the father is just as engaged with the feeding and care of the young as the mother is. He is also a loving, devoted partner to the Mrs., and mates for life. This sight is beautiful to me, just a few months ago cardinals built a nest on my backyard tree, and they had eggs, now come to feed the babies every 5 minutes, so cute! We just had 3 baby cardinals hatch in a bush right next to our patio and they look about the same size. It is so incredible to watch the male and female cardinals work all day to feed their chick's. It's quite adorable.
This is so beautfull! Both parents feeding their babies without feeling threatened by humans. I LOVE the sense of responsibility and dedication the Mama birds have for their babies! The selflessness and care ❤ I also love how in the midst the parent bird eats some of the food. Lol it reminds me of the meme that says "you're not a real parent if you don't drink a little bit of your child's juice when you open it for them" Nature is so beautiful. I can sit on my porch and watch the Cardinals eat out of the bird feeder I set up for hours. It’s so relaxing and calms the mind. That is an incredible video. I love the close up view! Better than anything I've seen in a nature documentary.
The beauty & awe of Nature will FOREVER fascinate me no matter how old I am...I have my 84-year-old father to thank for sharing his vast knowledge & love of Nature to inspire me throughout my childhood...He spent many quiet & long hours deep in the woods of his rural property for mostly observing birds...He's always had such wonderful stories to share... (Especially about Crows, Hummingbirds & Wild Turkey) absolutely gorgeous filmwork! you did a fantastic job and it was so close and so sharp. you should live stream this, it would be incredible, i love cardinals!

Cardinals are very fun to watch! When I found a cardinals nest I was shocked at how tiny they are in real life… great video! Outstanding film. Fascinating to see the precision with which the adults place the grubs, etc in the little gaping maws!! Has to be just right Beautiful birds. Thank you I've never been able to find the nest, but there does seem to be at least one pair of cardinals living somewhere near my house (I've seen them arrive together on several occasions). During the summer we had a fledgling cardinal who visited the bird feeder regularly. That was really cute. this video shows, how parents work hard for their kids. No matter if these are human or birds. great video friend.
That is so beautiful. Mother animals never leave their children, even if they must be stressed with all those mouths to feed. They give birth and stay by their side until they are ready to part. Those cardinal birds are beautiful. The male with his stunning red colours it's something amazing to see I’m watching where the Mother Bird 🦅 has made her nest and apparently laid eggs and now I hear the baby birds chirp when she arrives with food to feed them. I now now he process of what I was observing with the baby birds chirping with their mouths wide open. How Beautiful to see the mother caring for her young.
Great video. I love baby cardinals! A few years ago I saved an extremely young baby cardinal who happened to wander into the neighbor's yard and they had a really mean dog. We lured him over to our side of the fence and put him in a box. We carried him back to his nest in the rose arbor. And what did he do after that? Jumped right back out of his nest the little bugger. He wasn't nearly old enough to go out on his own but luckily his parents came back and he was fine and we got to watch him grow up in our yard. His name was Scrapper.

I was in my yard refilling the feeders and heated birdbath. Then I heard the song of a male cardinal!!! A little rusty and tentative, but the unmistakable song that spring will eventually arrive!
